A story is a short account of a change that came out of something your team said. Anyone can write one. An admin or manager decides whether it goes live.
Submit a story
- Open Prove, then Stories, and choose Share a story.
- Write what changed, up to 5,000 characters, and pick a theme. A theme is required.
- Optionally add up to 10 tags of up to 50 characters each, a department, and a photo or video.
- Submit. The story waits for review. You can submit up to 5 stories an hour.
You can also start from finished work: mark an action Done and choose Create story. Admins and managers can do this.
Review a story
- Open Prove, then Stories. Filter by Needs review.
- Read the story. Check that it names no one and says nothing you would not want public.
- Choose Approve or Reject. For a rejection, you can add a reason of up to 500 characters. A reason is optional.
A story is approved or rejected once. The author is emailed either way if their email notifications are on. A rejection email includes your reason if you wrote one.
Check stories that started from an action
A story started from a Done action is pre-filled with the original feedback text, the department and the action owner’s name. Kriqy does not remove any of it. Edit out anything that could identify someone before you submit or approve.
What approving does
- The story becomes visible to everyone in your workspace.
- On the Growth plan and above it can appear on your public careers widget, which shows up to 12 of your newest approved stories once you have at least 3 approved.
- Kriqy does not check a story automatically. The reviewer reads the text and approves it. Do not describe an approved story as independently verified.
The careers widget is public
FAQ
Who can see my pending story?
You, and your workspace’s admins and managers. Admins and managers also see who wrote it.
Can I see why my story was rejected?
Only if the reviewer wrote a reason. When there is one, it is shown on your story and emailed to you if your email notifications are on.
Can employees submit stories?
Yes. Any active member can. Only admins and managers approve.
Can I approve my own story?
If you are an admin or manager, you review pending stories the same way as anyone else’s.
What if a story is rejected?
The author can write a new one. For a rejected story that started from a Done action, you can resubmit it from the Actions page.
